Back to New York

Back to New York

I am sitting here at LAX right now awaiting my departure to one of my favorite cities in the world, New York. I am heading back mainly for the National Stationery Show (May 20-23, Booth #2044!) but I always try to take at least 3 weeks to enjoy the city. Last year it was 2 months, and I feel totally spoiled that I got that much time!

I know I haven't blogged much in the past year, it's just that I've been so busy LIVING my life! 2011 was an amazing year and my husband and I got to see so much of the world, so I'll give a little recap. February and March found us in a rented house on the beach in Goa, India. When I went to India the first time in 2010, I immediately felt at home (strange for a country that is SO foreign to everything I've ever known in my life) and Steve and I both loved it so much we decided to go back and actually get a house and settle down for a bit. Every day we walked to the beach, ate our $1 breakfast, went swimming in the ocean, hung out with friends, and traveled around to other cities as much as possible! We were there for 6 weeks and it wasn't close to enough. We even tried to extend our trip at the end, but alas the airline wouldn't let us. Boo. I didn't blog much about this trip (it was too relaxing), but I did write an amazing blog about my 2 month trip to India in 2010, so feel free to check that out:

Then April-June was our 2 month sojourn in New York. I have never felt so alive or happy in my life. As much as I love my life in Los Angeles, it's easy to forget all about everyday human contact as we live so much of our lives in our car, house, or office. New York forces an immediacy with the outside world that few cities can.

June-August was our longest time in LA all year - had fun, hung out with friends and enjoyed the hell out of our adorable pups.

Late August - early October was a trip of a lifetime! Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Wuhan, Lhasa Tibet, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Vietnam, AND Cambodia! I don't even have the words to describe this trip in a short blog post, so please feel free to read my personal blog: SEE, I DID blog this year - just not for Hard Cards!

Anyway, I am incredibly excited to show off some new product (info coming soon!) and our very first gift item: Notepads! 2012 has already become one of our most successful years ever and I am really excited to see how the rest of the year will look.

I can tell that the trip was by WalterAdam (not verified)
